Roy plays anything with 50 years of Aerosmith 1970 2020 thank you for the memories shirt seen him many times when I lived in Las Vegas, he was incredible, one of the greatest musicians of all time. Malaguena with a flat pick? Really? That’s just brutal. I met Roy and he was a sweetheart, a great showman, great at a lot of things but flamenco guitar was not one of them. That song and that style is much more subtle, exact, delicate and intricate and always done with fingers. Never really cared for a country growing up in the 60s, however, Roy Clark mesmerized me! He was phenomenal and a very early influence along with Chet Atkins.

He was one of a kind, always enjoyed watching him…and he was a damn good guitar player and I used to laugh at the faces he’d make like he was having a hard time doing 50 years of Aerosmith 1970 2020 thank you for the memories shirt. Great guitarist, but I never understood why he wouldn’t have played this on a nylon string guitar. Still great performance and a great episode. “Kalnakov knows a genius when he sees one!”. Roy Clark was a phenomenal guitarist, I’m into metal and punk rock, but this guy could outplay any new guitar player in any genres if ever there’s a guitar master I’m sure they’re out there, but if there’s a guitar God, it’s Roy Clark, loves this guy.
