My kids from kindergarten make their Official Puck The Virus shirt. As long as they have fruit, veggie, protein, and carb, what they take. My rule is simply “don’t pack it if you won’t eat it” I know some schools are stricter about what gets packed. Take your kids to the store and have them help you pick out options. Get on Pinterest, there are lots of overachievers there more than happy to dump inspiration on you and your kids. Ultimately I think kids are more likely to eat it and enjoy it if they helped make it. Stop doing it for them and set aside 10 minutes before bedtime that they put it together.

Best Official Puck The Virus shirt
Our school has a healthy lunch initiative Official Puck The Virus shirt. They work on something from the major food groups so my daughter has grapes (fruit), yogurt (dairy), sandwich (carbs), carrot or cucumber sticks (veggies) and dip generally hummus. I do need to get a protein in there, she likes egg sandwiches so I might start making those. My sons’ lunch typically has raw veggies and ranch, a banana, a couple of mini oranges, apple slices or sauce, a peanut butter jam or jam or PB and honey or Nutella sandwich, some days I just buy subway. a small bag of rice chips then.
